Lecture: U.S.-Russia Cooperation in Forests
A lecture by Jennifer Smith, U.S. Forest Service
Join us at 6:30p.m. on Thursday, May 26th, for an informative lecture on important areas of cooperation between Russia and the U.S. in forestry. These include: sustainable forest management; climate change; biodiversity conservation; and environmental governance and community engagement.
This lecture will be given by Jennifer Smith, Program Specialist for International Programs for the U.S. Forest Service. In this capacity she oversees several projects in Siberia and Mongolia. Ms. Smith holds an MS in Natural Resources and Environment and an MA in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Michigan. Prior to her work at the U.S. Forest Service, Jennifer served as the Executive Director of the Tahoe-Baikal Institute.
